September was a VERY busy month for The Fountains as we made our Two Chef’s Hurricane Party a real life adventure. Here’s a recap on our month!
We made the best of our travels to Mission Inn and The Watermark at Trinity with tons of games and good company. When we got home and settled in, life was back to normal in a flash! Bingo games, breakfast at Frog Pond with a walk to the gulf, dinner out and about on the town, we celebrated Oktoberfest and held our amazing fundraiser, Manic Monday’s Race to End Alzheimer’s! Managers geared up their wheel chairs and walkers and raced for a chance to win while residents raised money by voting on their favorite winning candidate. It sure was a hoot to watch!
Our Oktoberfest party was one for the books! People were ready to celebrate the annual holiday that begins on September 16th and goes through the first week of October. Dawned in lederhosen and beer maiden dresses, we danced the polka and drank German beer while chowin’ down on the delicious brats and sauerkraut.
Needless to say, we had a great September!
