During a recent Happily Ever After Two Chef’s Show, community staff asked residents for their advice on how to have a long and happy marriage. Seeing as though many have been married for over 50 years, they had lots of great advice to share.
“Never go to bed with conflict on your mind. Life is too short, clear the air for good luck and happiness.” – Lucille Frechette, married for 54 years.
“Just listen, always talk to each other and never go to bed mad.” – Fran Bailey, married for 50 years.
“Have the Lord in your home. Love, share and talk things out” – Mary and Charles Hildabrand, married for 17 years.
“Love one another, make it a 50/50 marriage and everything will work out.” – Jean Tiberio, married for 43 years.
The advice for a happy marriage was recently featured in an article titled Local Seniors Share Advice for a Happy Marriage on tampabaynewswire.com, published on July 25th, 2017. To read the full article, please click here.
